OUR DYNAMOMETER HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!

Thursday 22nd January 2004…Pick up!

After collecting a typically slow Penske rental truck, I set off for Atlanta to take delivery of our long awaited AWD Dyno Dynamics lowboy dyno. The purchase process has taken approximately three months and we are eager to have it situated at our new shop in Calhoun GA.

The Dyno was heavier than I had anticipated weighing in, with crates, at around 7000lb.  Standing on the delivery dock at the shipping terminal, watching a heavy duty fork lift attempting to situate the largest crate, made me wonder if I had rented a large enough truck?

After a brief conversation with the loading crew about air brakes and payload we managed to close the rear door of the truck with the four crates safely inside. The paperwork was signed and within 10 minutes I was negotiating Atlanta traffic once more.

I arrived back at the shop and the crates were unloaded and placed in the general area where the dyno will eventually be bolted down.
